Weather it is an extra room above the garage or a perfect niche in your lower level, be aware of how the location of your home theater effects the performance of your home theater and the rooms surrounding it.

A common misconception is the best home theater room is square.  Factors such as:  optimal room size, seating height and positioning, and speaker placement will be covered by your home audio/video company.

Step 1 —  What Do You Really Want?

“Home Theater” versus a “Media Room”

A home theater is a room solely dedicated for watching movies or listening to music.  It typically has four walls specifically designed to enhance the audio and video experience in that particular room.

A media room is used for multiple purposes; including:  watching TV, reading a book, playing a family game, playing video games, or even simply relaxing.  It may be a family room with the latest and greatest wide-screen, surround-sound system.
